As a photographer I have found that you sometimes get a once in a lifetime job every so often which allows you to test your various skills in taking action / sports photos. The job I've been commisioned do to out for Coke at the Sorrento back beach has been been one of them.

I remember when I first noticed the job, it just seemed that it was take a few snaps of whats happening for the surf school and end the day by uploading photos. Seems like every other gig i've done over the past year. This one has been different. The brief only stated to take as many atmosphere and also beach shots that might take your fancy. Sure there will be days where it wasn't as busy as anticipated but to fill time, i've been taking random shots of whats going on around and well here are some of them...

I'll be out in Sorrento until tommorow cause i have to head back to melbourne to cover the Sensation White NYE party at Telstra Dome and Summadayze at Sidney Myer Music Bowl. However I'll be back in Sorrento Beach from the 2nd to the 17th January. Sounds busy... well it pretty much is but it has been one of the more enjoyable times I've had recently and not worry about my normal job.

We have a couple big events coming up over the xmas / new year break and I'll also be up in Sorrento working at a Surf School. Well not teaching how to surf but taking photos and possibly learning the fundamentals of surfing!

Hi cool in2events readers

We recently had some downtime with the website for the past week due to some software update issues. However, this has now been resolved and the site has been partially migrated over to the new Content Management System that we are using to manage the articles. However, we are having the occasional migration issues with data coming over from the old CMS to the new CMS.

Hopefully they should all (or most of it) be sorted by tonight.

So don't dispair, the old party photos are still there... and there are a few new ones on the way over the next couple of days.
